Applying from Within Georgia

If you are already legally residing in Georgia and meet the study visa requirements, you do not need to leave the country to apply. You can submit your D3 visa application directly to the Public Service Hall (House of Justice) or the State Services Development Agency.

Important Deadline: You must apply no later than 45 days before your current legal stay expires. Note: "Legal stay" does not include any granted postponements of your departure obligation.

Visa Extensions

Researchers at authorized institutions and students in international programs can extend their D3 visa, provided their grounds for extension allow for a stay longer than three months.

Appeals

If a visa is denied, not extended, or terminated, the decision can be formally appealed under Georgian legislation.

The Final Step: Collect Your Residence Card

Once your residence permit is approved, you must return to the Public Service Hall within 30 days to request your physical Residence Card (Binadroba) and register your official Georgian address.

Failing to collect your Residence Card within 6 months of approval will result in the cancellation of your entire permit.
